Nigerian government orders investigate NSCDC officers for alleged extortion N5.2M

Minister of Home Affairs, Dr. Olubunmi Tupi-Ojo, has ordered an investigation of charges of extortion involving several civil security and defense corps officers (NSCDC).

Minister’s special advisor to the media, Mr. Babatunde Alao, revealed this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.

A post appeared on social media recently, accused that some NSCDC personnel were racking N5.2 million from a group of young men who were traveling from ado-ekiti, ekiti state, to Akure, Ondo State.

The Minister, in the statement, swear that the officer who was found guilty would face full legal weight.
