England-based Nigerian social media influencer, Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji (aka KSI), celebrated his recent purchase of lower division team, Dagenham & Redbridge, with victory in his first match in charge.
Sports247 gathered that Olatunji, who is also affectionately called ‘JJ’ by his fans, was live in the stands and ended up full of joy, as the east London side beat Dorking Wanderers 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

It marked a bright start as club owner for KSI, 32, who is also a co-founding member of a YouTube group, Sidemen, as well as co-founder of Misfits Boxing and co-owner of Prime Hydration and Lunchly.
The win came just 72 hours after KSI announced he had purchased a stake in the National League South club and become a strategic partner of The Daggers board, whose fans greeted him enthusiastically when he arrived at the game.
Before entering the stands at Dagenham’s Victoria Road stadium, KSI, wearing the Daggers away shirt, posed for photographs and signed autographs, after which he sat next to former Liverpool striker Andy Carroll in the VIP box.
Carroll, who joined Dagenham last summer as a player but is currently injured, also has minority shares in the club, hence his presence in the box with KSI, who gave the tall forward’s children a selfie, while the cameras were focused on them the entire time.
A report from the UK’s Daily Mail added: “The pair celebrated wildly when Aramide Oteh scored the decisive goal in the second half, with the YouTube stream having 220,000 views at the time of writing.
“The result saw the Daggers rise to 12th place in the National League South, the sixth tier of English football, which is five promotions away from KSI’s stated desire to reach the Premier League with the club.
“KSI’s impact was evident. Attendance at the match was 2,281, more than 1,000 more than last Saturday’s 2-0 home defeat to AFC Totton. KSI was announced as part-owner of the club on Tuesday and attended Saturday’s match.”
