Four teams of the Northern Conference have secured their places in the Nigeria National League for the next season after qualifying for the Playoffs of the National Nationwide One League of 2025.
The four teams are Mai Kunkele United (Niger state), Kano ambassadors (Kano state), Warinje FC (Bauchi state) and City FC (FCT).
The competition was intense at the NLO 2025 playoff held at the Bwari center, where Mai Kunkele joined the house of prayer for a difference of two goals.
Both teams ended 7 points after three games, achieving two victories and one draw each. Meanwhile, Zeal Minds FC and Na Royal FC ended at the bottom of the registry with 3 points and without points, respectively.
In the Jos Center, Warinje FC of the state of Bauchi was the outstanding team, winning two games and drawing one in its three games.
In the Gumel Center, Kano’s ambassadors of the state of Kano dominated their group, achieving a perfect record by winning the three games. They scored seven goals while granting only two, ending on the record with 9 points. Jnr Danburan FC, Clever Warriors and Discovery Academy could not match their performance.
Similarly, at the ABS Center in Kaduna, City FC of Abuja surpassed the veterinarian Rovers FC, Campro FC and FWC FC to ensure the only ticket in its group.
