Nigerian basketball player Nnaji James has joined Girona on loan from Barcelona until June 2025.
Barcelona announced James’ loan to Girona in a statement released on Sunday, August 4.

Nnaji failed to find much playing time after the signing of Youssoupha Fall, with Willy Hernangomez and Jan Vesely already in the squad.
Last season, Nnaji played 19 games in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, averaging 2.6 points, 1.5 rebounds, 0.2 assists and 3.2 EFF.
Nnaji, who grew up in Makurdi, Nigeria, where he started playing basketball, is from the middle (central) belt region of Nigeria.
He began his career at Rátgéber Akadémia, a Hungarian league team that he joined in 2020 in Barcelona, signing in 2020 to join FC Barcelona B.
From then on he would be promoted to FC Barcelona’s A team in 2021, playing thirteen games in the 2021-22 season.
