The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC Ltd.) has denied claims that it is selling job vacancies to the public, describing the allegations as a “scam.”
In a statement issued on Saturday by Olufemi Soneye, Chief Corporate Communications Officer, NNPC Ltd., urged job seekers to disregard rumours of job vacancies being sold, stressing that recruitment is a straightforward process without any inducement or selling of jobs.
The company warned that anyone who pays for a job does so at their own risk, and reiterated its commitment to a transparent and responsible recruitment process.

The statement read, “The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC Ltd.) has appealed to the public, especially job seekers, to disregard rumours of job sales.
“The company stated that there was not an ounce of truth to the insinuation that they were offering jobs to anyone willing to buy, describing them as the antics of fraudsters looking to take advantage of unsuspecting applicants.
“He warned that as a responsible business entity, recruitment into the company is a straightforward process and does not involve selling slots or any inducements.
“He warned that anyone who paid anyone any money for any work with the company did so at their own risk.”
