North Central Coalition Guns for VP position, urged Tinubu to drop Shettima for 2027

A coalition of stakeholders under the auspices of the North-Central Renaissance Movement (NCRM), has asked the President of Bola Tinubu to bring down Vice President Kashim Shettima as his partner for the 2027 presidential election.

NCRM who made a call after a meeting held in Abuja on Saturday, urged Tinubu to choose his partner from their zone if he wanted their support for his reconciliation.

The meeting was present, former national security advisers, General Aliyu Gusau (Retd), Onah Abaji, Your Majesty, Musa Yunusa, former MPs, Senator John and Boyi, and other top politicians and the leaders of thought from Benue, Kogi, Kogi, Kogi, Nasaraau, Nasarawa, Nasarawa, Nasarawa, Nasarawa, Nasarawa, Nasarawa.

Calls by NCRM will come two days after hundreds of stakeholders and leaders of the region announced at a press conference that they have agreed to work together to produce the next president after 65 years of what they call marginalization of the region, however, however, giving the President Tinubu to support the next selection if he agreed to bring down Shettima to one of their own as their own in front of their elections.

In a communicate issued at the end of the meeting signed by the Chairman of the NCRM, Prof. Nghargbu K’TSO, the group insisted that the only condition to support Tinubu in 2027 was that he dropped Shettima and chose his partner from the region.

“We strengthen advocacy for the return of the presidency to zones in 2027 through high-level consultations with leading figures in all six geo-political zones,” the communication said in part.

“North Central strengthens advocacy for the return of the presidency to zones in 2027 through high-level consultations with leading figures in the Geo-Political and Nigerian zones in general.

“We appealed the cooperation of the Nigerians to realize agitation and place the region in other zone equations that have enjoyed constitutional rights to produce presidents and vice presidents in Nigeria because the zone has what is needed to lead rather than led at any time.

“This zone has what is needed to lead rather than led all the time, and the future must begin with a federal political arrangement 2027,” he added.
