None of the 134 Irish politicians who replied to the Sky News survey will support Conor McGregor’s ambitions to become the president of the country.
Comments range from “not hope in hell” to “I can’t think of anyone who is more unfit” and “I really prefer we don’t have a president at all”.

McGregor praised Trump and hit in Irish Prime Minister
McGregor uses St Patrick Day Meet with Donald Trump in the Oval Office To advance its goal to run for elections, which must be held in November.
A few days later he officially announced on social media that he would look for elections and stand on the anti-immigration platform.
Candidates must gather support from 20 members of Oireachtas (parliament), or support from four local Irish authorities to stand.
There are 234 members of Oireachtas: 174 TDS or Low Council members, Dail, and 60 senators.
Sky News asks each of them whether they will give McGregor nominations. A total of 104 TDS and 30 senators answered.
Every person from 134 politicians said they would not support McGregor running. No one chose the “possible” option.

Sky News asks: Are you going to nominate McGregor for the presidential candidate? Irish politicians answered:
“I consider him a tacky and crazy vulgaria. I will never consider him a suitable person for nomination.” – Senator

Sky News has approached McGregor representatives to comment on our findings. No one has been accepted.
If McGregor chose to pursue the board route to the nomination, he might not feel easier, according to Gary Murphy, a political professor at Dublin City University.
“The difficulty there is that they are also dominated by political parties. So I think he will find it very difficult to really get a vote.
“Now there is a big independent sound in Ireland, and maybe McGregor is targeting it, but the problem with an independent sound here in Ireland is that it is very left and he is not.”
Many do not believe McGregor actually wants to be president
This is not a tiring or very scientific poll, and some independent politicians who are strongly willing to refuse to give views, even though there are repeated emails, calls, and whatsapps.
So it is still possible Conor McGregor can take some nominations from Oireachtas … Should he ask.
But the tent of number 134-auat-combined with the scathing reply that we received-hugging images of the strength of the opposition to run McGregor.
That is of course, assuming he really wants to be president. There are many who don’t believe him.
Quite a lot of anyone can run for the Irish election, and we have one of a few months ago.
McGregor is not visible. But every time he posted about his political ambition, he was praised as “Trump Irish” by most American fanbases.
This can be a strategy to further burn its reputation and brand in America, rather than a sincere desire to embrace the strict seven -year task of symbolic public services that are often at home.
McGregor is currently appealing on the results of civil cases where the Dublin jury found him raped a womanNikita Hand, in 2018 and ordered her to pay the damage. He also faced a civil case in Florida, where a woman claimed he had sexual harassment against him In the basketball match in Miami in 2023. The legal team said the accusation was “wrong”.
