NPFL descends on the falling stars, bangs well, closes the stadium to the fans

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3sc) will pay a fine of N3 million and another N2 million of Nikorodu City for damage to their bus following safety violations that have caused attacks to the contingent of the city of Ikorodu.

The fans were also indefinitely limited by access to the Shooke Stars home games.

The accident occurred at the end of day 32 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) at the Lekan Salami Stadium which led to a disciplinary panel sitting on Wednesday

The Ibadan Club has been declared guilty of all three counts to inability to provide adequate security, inability to guarantee the adequate conduct of their supporters who translate into attack on the opponents and launching objects in the playing field and referees.

For not providing adequate and effective safety that led unauthorized people to gain access to limited areas and harass the officials of the game, the falling stars were fined of N1 million.

The second accusation stated: “You are in violation of the C9 rule of the framework and rules of the Nigeria Premier Football League, on that Sunday 06 April 2025, during the operation of the match 32: Shooke Stars vs. Ikorodu City, you have not ensured the adequate conduct of your supporters, who led to the assumption on the assault of the team team.”

The disciplinary panel ordered a fine of another N1M and with the third charge of not controlling their fans, they also have to pay N1M.

For violation of the B13.18 rule, following their supporters who launch objects towards the playing field and the officials of the game, the falling stars will pay n1 million, bring in total to M3 million as well as N2m to be paid for damage to Ikorodu City Bus.

According to the sentence, the panel ordered the closure of the lekan salami stadium to fans for the rest of the season.

The stars of the causes, pursuant to the C26 rule, are necessary within 48 hours, indicate the acceptance of the sentence or choose to appeal to decisions.
