NPFL Matchday 31: Remo Stars secure crucial win, Ikorodu City hold on as Rangers come out on top

Matchday 31 of the Nigerian Premier Football League offered another round of intense action, with Remo Stars raising their survival hopes, Ikorodu City forced to settle for a draw and Rangers International climbing to the top of the table.

Remo Stars produced one of the standout performances of the round, defeating Kwara United 3-1 in a vital encounter.

The victory provides a significant boost in their bid to stay out of relegation trouble as the season enters a decisive phase.

Rangers International continued their strong title challenge with a comfortable 2-0 win over El-Kanemi Warriors, a result that puts them at the top of the league standings temporarily pending Rivers United’s result against Nasarawa United on Monday.

Ikorodu City’s ten-man side were held to an entertaining 2-2 draw against Kun Khalifat, preventing Oga’s boys from collecting maximum points despite a spirited display.

Elsewhere, Kano Pillars impressed with a 2-0 win over Enyimba, while Katsina United beat Shooting Stars 1-0. Plateau United also recorded a narrow 1-0 win against Bayelsa United.

Two matches ended goalless: Wikki Tourists drew goalless against Barau FC, while Wolves and Bendel Insurance also shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw.
