NPFL: Rivers United Going For Victory Against Kano Pillars

Rivers United midfielder Austin Okejepha says the team will go all out for a win against Kano Pillars on Sunday.

The encounter is billed for the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.

“The game is very important for us,” Okejepha said in a short video interview posted on the club’s X handle.

“We really need the points because the last game we played at home we drew and we are not happy, our club’s management too were happy about the result.

“So we need to go out there and show them that we can do it again and take three points back home.

“I am really happy, going back to play on the same pitch I had played before, I think it will be a really good game for me and the rest of the team. We are going to play and give our best.”

Okejepha was previously played for Kano Pillars.

He has made three appearances in the ongoing 2023/24 NPFL season.

Rivers United are currently ninth on the NPFL table with four points from three matches.

Kano Pillars are in 18th position with three points from the same number of matches.
