Seth Mayi, the former Akwa United midfielder who played a pivotal role in the 2021 Nigerian Premier League title win, is on the verge of a loan move to Sunshine Stars for the remainder of the 2024-2025 season.

However, his subsequent stint at Remo Stars has been less fruitful. Since leaving Akwa United after the 2022 NPFL season, Mayi has struggled with injuries and lack of game time at Remo Stars.
These issues have hampered his ability to make an impact on the pitch, and the club’s reluctance to terminate his contract by mutual consent has further complicated his situation.
