NSF 2024: Team Ogun Thrash Kwara to win the male football final

The Ogun team hit the Kwara 4-1 team to secure the gold medal in male football at the 2024 National Sports Festival.

The hosts were encouraged by a great crowd in the magnificent Moshers Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta, and gave their fans something to cheer at the end of the 90 minutes.

Ahmed Akinyele scored twice early in the first half to establish the tone for a comfortable victory.

The Kwara team reduced the deficit in the 13th minute, but the hosts recovered their two -go advantage just before the break.

The Ogun team scored once after the break to make the score line more emphatic.

Independent Junior athletes, Ija, Golden Eaglets) won the bronze medal at the event.
