Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) has officially attracted controversial publications about the ownership of the National Nigerian Labor Congress (NLC) headquarters and has issued an apology that was not presented to the congress and leadership.
In a letter dated August 16, 2025, and addressed to the President of the NLC, Joe Ajaero, Director of Implementing/Head of NSITF Executive, Mr. Oluwaseun Faleye, admitted that the previous position taken by the funds was made wrong. He explained that the agency had received “new and superior information” which clarified this issue.
Faleye wrote: “We want to withdraw our latest publications regarding the title of the title related to the NLC national headquarters in connection with new and superior information and to apologize to the congress and leadership for all the shame that may be caused by the publication. I will still be on this problem.”
BOS NSITF emphasized that the agency in -depth respects his relationship with the labor movement and remains focused on strengthening cooperation in the collective interests of Nigerian workers.

“We appreciate our partnership with the Nigerian labor congress and remain committed to working together to protect the interests of Nigerian workers,” he added.
The latest step by NSITF is expected to ease the tension between the two bodies and open the way for new collaboration on the welfare and protection of workers.
