
Chippa United, a professional football club based in South Africa, has recently reached an agreement with Stanley Nwabali, the Nigerian goalkeeper known for his impressive performances.
Nwabali joined Chippa United from Katsina United, a Nigeria Premier Football League club in 2022. The 28-year-old quickly made his mark in South Africa, leading to his selection for the 2023 AFCON tournament.

During the tournament, Nwabili impressed by keeping four clean sheets and played a key role in Nigeria’s run to the final, where they narrowly lost to hosts Ivory Coast in Abidjan.
His outstanding performances not only boosted his profile but also linked him with teams such as Queens Park Rangers (England), Al-Ettifaq (Saudi Arabia), South African giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
Nwabali has opted to continue his career at Chippa United. The club has welcomed the renewal and praised his leadership and commitment.

Nwabali will also take on the role of team captain for the upcoming season. The club noted that his leadership on and off the field has been exemplary and believes he is the right person to guide the team through the upcoming challenges.
