Nwabali, teammates to get a new coach at Chippa United

Chippa United is close to appointing Luc Eymael as the new club chief coach as a replacement for Snethemba Badela.

The club has made the decision to fire Badelo after a series of poor results that left the club in the descent zone, with two losses and a draw of its three initial games.

According to reports in South Africa, the club has reached an agreement with Eymael.

The Belgian tactic met with the president of the Club Siviwe Mpengesi and his son, where they discussed the project and set their hand, at the beginning. It is expected to be presented to Stanley Nwabali and company.

Eymael returns to the club five years after he was initially appointed technical advisor of the club, but never assumed duties, since there was a lot of outrage by the media, politicians, sponsors, supporters and Safa due to the accusations of being racist.

He was fired by African young people in 2020 after the racist comments, where he called the fans of Tanzania ‘dogs’ and compared them with ‘singing monkeys’.

The Belgian said the comments were not aimed at Yanga fans, but to Simba’s rival fans, who caused him and after which he apologized for his comments.

Eymael was forbidden to train at the PSL in 2020, but Safa withdrew it in 2024.

It seems that Eymael’s current event with Chippa United will pass, since at the time of writing this writing there has been no public opposition from Safa or the sponsors of the club.

The 65 -year -old man administered stars in the city of Polokwane and the free state in 2017 and 2018, respectively. He won the Nedbank Cup in 2018.
