Nwabali will not return next season, Chippa United boss confirms

Nwabali has attracted interest from several clubs following his outstanding performances for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper kept 12 clean sheets in all competitions last season with Chippa United.

“On physical paper, I don’t know how many offers he has received, but verbally he has around 10 or even 12 offers,” Louw confirmed.

“He definitely won’t be back in Chippa next season,” Louw told FarPost.

Louw also noted that Nwabali has improved his game significantly since arriving in South Africa.

“When [Nwabali] He arrived at Chippa, not very proficient in footwork, unable to play from the back. However, he has significantly improved his footwork,” Louw added.

The Nigerian joined Chippa United from Nigerian side Katsina United.
