Bayels Queens chief coach, Whyte Ogbonda, says his team is motivated to reach the top at the Nigeria soccer playoff, NWFL, Super Six.
Prosperity girls began their campaign with a winning note, surpassing the Rivers Angels 1-0 in Ikenne on Saturday.
Alabiyi Alaba scored the winning goal in the 34th minute.
The striker clung to a precise ball of Mercy Omokwo to shoot a shot to the goalkeeper of the Angels Anderline MGBECHI.
“Victoria will encourage my players to work more in later matches and I know they will not be complacent when they face their next opponent,” Ogbonda told the club’s media.
“The greatest motivation for my players is psychological and monetary of the state government of Bayelsa, since everything necessary for this tournament has been provided.”
Bayels Queens will face Nasarawa Amazons in his next game on Monday.
