Obaseki Loses LG to APC – TrendyNewsReporters

Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has lost the governorship of his local government, Oredo Local Government Area, to the All Progressives Congress in the gubernatorial election results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

According to the result declared by the commission on Sunday in Benin City, the state capital, the APC candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, secured a total of 30,780 votes in the LG, while Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party secured 24,938 votes.

Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party got 5389 votes.
