Supporters of the 2023 Labour presidential candidate Peter Obi, popularly known as Obidients, have linked the landslide victory of UK Labour candidate Keir Starmer over Conservative Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to Obi’s call for Nigerians living in the UK to vote for Starmer.
Ahead of the UK election on Thursday, Obi had made a post on X calling on eligible voters to support Starmer and vote for Sunak.
And with Starmer beating the incumbent PM in a landslide victory, the Obidients clan believe their man played a part in the victory.
A post on X by Peter Obi’s Grassroots Movement on Friday provided some tone for the praise.
