Blessing Oborududu qualified for the women’s 68kg wrestling semi-final after defeating her French opponent Koumba Larroque.
Oborodudu won the closely contested quarter-final clash 6-2.
The 35-year-old will face Meerim
Kyrgyzstan’s Zhumanazarova in the semi-final.

The 12-time African champion is already guaranteed a medal regardless of the outcome of her matchup with Zhumanazarova.
However, she hopes to surpass the silver medal she won three years ago in Tokyo.
Earlier, Oborodudu defeated her Canadian opponent Linda Morais in the quarterfinals.
The powerful fighter got off to a slow start and conceded two points, but rallied in the second half to score six consecutive points and win the match 8-2 on points.
