Officer: South Africa will be docked 3 points, 3 goals for the World Cup error

A better classified official has only said to Scorenigeria that South Africa will receive three points and three goals to present an inevitated player in a 2026 World Cup qualification against Lesotho in March.

“Now it is just a matter of when the announcement will be made by FIFA, but South Africa will lose the game against Lesotho for presenting a not eligible player,” said the official.

“The facts are very clear and even South Africa has admitted its mistake.”

The president of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Shehu Dikko, said recently in an interview that he was confident that South Africa will lose Lesotho’s game due to his mistake and this in turn will increase the possibilities that Nigeria Calify for next year’s World Cup in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.

South Africa currently leads its classification group with 13 points of six games.

Nigeria has seven points and its chances of qualifying for the World Cup will light them if they only have three points by separating them and group leaders enter crucial matches in September and October.

In September, the Super Eagles will welcome Rwanda in second place to UYO, before flying to South Africa a few days later, so many believe they could determine the eventual winners of the group, which are automatically classified with the 2026 World Cup.
