The Nigerian senior team will play two high-level friendly matches in the month of June, according to the team’s communications department.
The Super Eagles will not be in the world cup after failing to qualify for the second consecutive edition, which will keep them available for matches against teams that will attend the world cup.
They will face Poland on June 3 before trading matches with World Cup-bound Portugal on June 10. Like Nigeria, Poland also failed to qualify for the World Cup.
Nigerian team head coach Eric Chelle will use the games to access some new players and also improve the second stage of his playing project after leading the team to a bronze medal at the AFCON in January.
