According to NOC spokesman Tony Neziaya, βhe had allegedly consumed drugs and could not prove anything else.β
Naziaya dismissed Ogunsemilore’s claims that testing procedures could have affected the outcome of the results when he was explaining his innocence.
βThose testimonies should have been handed over to the IOC, and she didnβt present them there. When they get caught, they start blaming the procedures. Her signature is already on the result, which means she gave her consent to the procedures followed,β Tony told Punch Sports Extra.
He also confirmed that the troubled boxer left the Olympic village on Tuesday as ordered by the International Olympic Committee, IOC.
βHe left the Olympic Village yesterday. He will return to Nigeria and he has to leave France,β Tony said.
The International Testing Agency, ITA, revealed that Ogunsemilore tested positive for furosemide, a banned diuretic, in an out-of-competition doping test on Thursday and Ogunsemilore Semilore was subsequently suspended from the games.
