Ohanaze Ndigbo got rid of the alleged support of Tinubu ahead of 2027 elections

Apex IGBO’s socio-cultural organization, Ohanaze Ndigbo Worldwide, has rejected a report that claims to have supported the Ball President Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 General Election.

In a very strong statement, President General Ohanaze Ndigbo, Senator John Azuta Mbata, considers the claim to be wrong and misleading, insisting that the group was truly non-party.

“This (support) is not my knowledge. Ohanaze Ndigbo Worldwide is a socio-cultural organization, not a political party. This is not in a position to support or refuse to support anyone,” Mbata said.

This clarification followed the recent claim by people who paraded as the leader of Ohanaze Ndigbo, who accused that the organization had promised his support for the Tinubu re-election offer.

Mbata emphasized that such claims must be ignored, warning that only one recognized leadership that exists for Ohanaze Ndigbo, under his authority.

He added that the group remained committed to its main role in promoting the unity, culture, and welfare of the IgBO people, not playing partisan politics.
