Ola Aina’s Injury Condition Offers No Positive Outlook

In a press conference on Friday, Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espírito Santo delivered a blow to fans, revealing that Ola Aina is far from returning to the pitch and will be absent in the upcoming face-off against Liverpool.

Aina’s absence has persisted for three consecutive games, including matchups against West Ham United, Aston Villa, and Manchester United, following his return from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, where he represented Nigeria.

While providing updates on the recovery progress of other 2023 Africa Cup of Nations participants, Ibrahim Sangaré and Willy Boly, Nuno Espírito Santo expressed concern over Aina’s condition, indicating no positive developments for the Nigerian wing-back.

The 50-year-old manager remained uncertain about the availability of key players for the crucial clash at the City Ground on Saturday.

Nuno Espírito Santo told reporters, “Not sure. Let’s see tomorrow, some players are in the final part of their recovery.

“Ibrahim (Sangaré) is close. Chris Wood is also closer. Ola and Nuno (Tavares) face more problems. Boly is in the final days of his recovery.”
