The notorious bandit based in Zamfara, Bello Turji, released 32 people who kidnapped and agreed to stop attacking farmers following a peace agreement with Islamic scholars in the Fakai forest, in the local government area of Shinkofi in the state of Zamfara.

The Islamic scholar, Musa Yusuf, popularly known as Asadus-Sunnah, revealed him in a religious meeting in Kaduna and coming from a project from his Facebook page.

Sheik Yusuf also said that the Shinkofi community had requested its intervention to allow them to return to their farms.

According to Sheikh Yusuf, the meeting took place three times in July, and Turji and other important fighters such as Dan Bakkolo, Black, Kanawa and Malam Ila, agreed with a peace agreement, including the laying of weapons and allowing farmers to return to their farms without fear.

Sheik Yusuf said that the kidnapped victims released included women and children, who were in Tari custody for about four months.

Some of them had given birth in the bush, while one was bitten by a snake.

He said from the agreement, peace had started to return to the Shinkofi area, while the residents peacefully made their agricultural activities.

Yusuf warned the cleric companions who criticize Turji on social media to give up, saying that he could incite disorders.
