Seven farmers who were kidnapped by criminals at Ondo State have regained their freedom.
The victims were kidnapped on their agricultural land in Itaogbolu in Akure North Local Government Area in the state last Saturday.
Farmers work in their agriculture when armed people launch attacks and take them to unknown goals.
The relative of one of the victims confirmed the news of their release to journalists on Friday.
He said the farmers were released on Wednesday night after spending five days at captivity.

“I am happy to tell you that the kidnappers released all seven farmers on Wednesday night. They returned with their families.
“I want to tell you that when the kidnappers demand a ransom, namely the N100 million initially before being reduced to N20 million, we can only collect N5 million.
“They were released in Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti, on Wednesday night after collecting N5 million and food.
“The victims are now in the hospital for medical treatment,” he said.
