One day to go: Olu’s novel coronation veterans’ match

Ahead of the highly anticipated veterans football match that will crown Ogiame Atuwatse III, Chevron All-stars defensive midfielder Bar. Esimaje Awani and INYC/Chief team forward Hon. Emma Nunu have expressed their excitement for the game.

Warri South Secretary and Co-Chairman of Iweri Football Club, Emma Nunu, who will lead the INYC/Chief team’s attack, confidently said she is not intimidated by the Chevron All-stars team’s defence, which includes Super Eagles legends Austin Eguavoen, Taribo West, Ifeanyi Udeze and Sam Sodje.

Bar Esemaje Awani, a business guru, said the novel game will bring back memories of when football was a unifying force in Nigeria and brought happiness to sports-loving Nigerians.

“It will be a great memory to play with legendary Super Eagles players when we play to honour the Olu of Warri on Saturday.”

The novel Olu of Warri Ogiame Atuwatse III veterans coronation match is scheduled to kick off at 2pm this Saturday at Nana College Warri.
