Onyaka Eyes Football of the first equipment with Bochum loan switch

The midfielder Francis Onyaka will leave Bayer Leverkusen for a loan of the whole season to the recently relegated Bundesliga Side Vfl Bochum.

The 18 -year -old talent is one of the brightest perspectives that arrive through German youth soccer ranks.

A product of the Leverkusen Academy, Onyaka joined the club in 2014 and constantly rose through the youth system.

Despite being called to the senior team several times in the last two seasons, he has found opportunities for limited first team, making only one appearance each in the UEFA Champions League and DFB Pokal.

With stars established such as Florian Wirtz, Amine Adli and Jonas Hofmann occupy attacking roles in the center of the field, Onyaka faces a hard competition for minutes.

As a result, the club has chosen to lend it in an attempt to accelerate its development with regular senior football.

According to Werkself Xtra, the midfielder is about to complete a loan movement to Bochum, who will compete in the second division of Germany next season after his descent from the Bundesliga.

The measure would provide Onyaka a valuable platform to obtain experience in the first team in a competitive environment.

Born in Germany of Nigerian parents, Onyaka is eligible to represent both Germany and Nigeria.

Although he has played for Germany at the U-18 levels to U-18, he has not yet appeared in the senior national team, keeping the door open for a possible change to the Super Eagles.

Onyaka, a naturally left game creator, is known for his vision, technical capacity and creativity in narrow spaces.

Despite sharing a last name, it is not related to Super Eagles midfielder, Frank Onyaka.

This loan spell in Bochum could be a crucial step on Francis Onyaka’s journey towards fulfilling its vast potential at the higher level.
