Osayi-Samuel impresses in Birmingham’s dramatic victory against Swansea

Bright Osayi-Samuel delivered an impressive exhibition when the city of Birmingham assured huge three points about Swansea on Saturday.

It was a dramatic ending in St. Andrew’s, with two substitutes that deeply combined in the detention time to give Birmingham the three points.

Lyndon Dykes scored the decisive goal, while Patrick Roberts provided assistance.

Osayi-Samuel appeared for 66 minutes. The 27 -year -old registered an 82% pass precision, with four of those passes breaking in the final third.

He also created an opportunity for his team and completed 100% of his hurry attempts, showing his ability to push the team forward every time he wore the ball.

The Nigerian defender registered four interceptions and four recoveries of the ball, won 83% of his aerial battles and an impressive 100% of his terrestrial duels.

Osayi has been a revelation for Birmingham this season, he has played in all Blues games this season.

With this performance, he is on the right path to become a player of the Birmingham season and in the championship squad of the year.

Speaking after the game, Birmingham chief coach Chris Davies praised the character and the resistance that his team showed to obtain victory.

“It was a really important victory for us. The players continued to believe and continue to press, and when the opportunity came, we took advantage of it. Shows the spirit in this group, and it is the type of mentality we need to continue building.”

The result moves Birmingham eight at the championship table, behind the playoffs in the goal difference and two points of the direct promotion places.
