Former Nigeria international John Ogu says he is certain Victor Osimhen must have apologised to former Super Eagles coach Finidi George for his rant on social media.
Recall that Osimhen’s outburst came after Finidi resigned as head coach of the Super Eagles and was quoted as saying that he could not beg Osimhen to play for the national team after the player pulled out of their last two 2026 World Cup qualifiers due to injury.

However, in a chat in the Fans Tribe Podcastst, Ogu said Osimhen should not be judged for his actions.
“I know Osimhen, even in his U-17 days. I know the kid was a good kid, a kid who is respectful, regardless of who you are.
“The moment someone accuses you of something, you can lose control. Some people need to speak their mind or they can’t sleep. He (Osimhen) did that.
“Has he apologized? I’m sure he has.”
