The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has lost its chairman, Ajiboye Omodewu, who has been battling an undisclosed illness for a long time.
Omodewu, a native of Otu-Itesiwaju, died in the United States, where he held citizenship. He had received treatment for almost a year before he died.

A seasoned politician, Omodewu served as a commissioner in various ministries during the administration of the late governor Abiola Ajimobi. He recently achieved a major milestone by completing his law degree and graduating from law school.
APC Publicity Secretary Olawale Sadare confirmed Omodewu’s death in a brief statement.
