Oyo State Governor Presents 28 New Buses To All Tertiary Institutions in Oyo

Latest report reaching our news desk today is coming directly from Oyo state, where the Governor of the state, Seyi Makinde Presents twenty-eight (28) new buses to all tertiary institutions in the state.

According to the Governor’s official social media accounts, today, 7th of March 2024, the governor handed over 28 18-seater buses to all tertiary institutions within the state, that is, both Federal, State, Indigenous and Special Education institutions in Oyo State received an 18-seater bus.

This is in fulfilment of the promise the governor made to students. Nigerians who keep up with the latest news will certainly recall that the governor had made such a promise a few months ago, and today, he has marked that as fulfilled.

The governor further approved the payment of bursaries and scholarships to students and that the process will be online to ensure they can register to receive it easily. The governor further assured students schooling in both Federal, State, Indigenous and Special Education institutions in Oyo State that his administration will continue to take measures to ease the hardship they are facing.

Finally, the governor further disclosed that his personal scholarship scheme will also be implemented within the next eight (8) weeks, however, he did not disclose if the scholarship will be for indigenous students, or open for students schooling in Oyo state, both indigenes and non-indigenes.
