Members of the Nigerian Judiciary Union (Jusun) in the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Monday, locked judges, lawyers, staff, and weakened from accessing the court after an unlimited strike declared by the National Union Agency.
All gates that lead to a court headquarters along Shehu Shagari Street in Abuja are below the key when journalists examine high -rise buildings on Monday.
The Jusun National Agency has a circular issued on May 30 by the National Secretary who acted, MJ Akwashiki, asked all the chairmen to direct their members to stay at home since midnight June 1.
The circular reads: “This instruction follows a meeting that does not bear fruit in the example of the Minister of Manpower and Employment, who is conducting a conciliation about our problem.

“We believe that as directed by the union organs, the National Work Committee (NWC) and the National Executive Council (NEC) from our large union, the action will continue until further notification.
“Our demand is that the government pays a wage award for five months, implementing the national minimum wage N70,000, as well as a salary increase 25/35 percent. Solidarity is forever.”
Although there are reports that several union chapters have resigned from industrial action, the FHC gate is still below the key and key at 10:00 on Monday.
