The Democratic Party of the People’s (PDP), the South-South Zonal Work Committee, has appointed the guard committee to oversee the party affairs in Bayelsa and the state EDO for three months.
The party’s public publicity secretary in the zone, Etiim Isong, revealed this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.
He said the formation of a committee for the two countries was approved at a meeting led by the Deputy Chairperson of the Party, Head and Orbih.
Isong added that the decision followed the dissolution of the State Work Committee (SWC) for the two countries.
He said: “For Edo, we take into account the bad performance and sad sightsee by the party in the state in the last governor election.
” So we make this decision for the best interests of PDP after a careful review of party activities in the two states.
” This is in line with the constitution of the party as amended in 2017, particularly articles 10 (1), (f), (g), (K), and (4) as well as articles 26 (2), (a), 27 (2) (A&B), 58 (1), (a), (c), (c), (j), (j), (j), (j), (j), and 59 (f)

“The Zonal Work Committee hopes that this brave step will strengthen the foundation of the party and ensure effective leadership in the two states.”
According to the spokesman, the Bayelsa guard committee was led by George Turnah while Tony Gabriel and Ebilade Ekrefe would function as deputy chairman and their respective secretaries.
Other members are-Didi WerilagheBofa (Deputy Chairperson, Central), Andy Majors (Deputy Chairperson, East), Evelyn Odi (Deputy Chairperson, Western), Biobelemoye Igoniwari (Treasurer), Secretary of Audiest (Auditory and AudieESe (Auditye), Auditer Eciter (Legal Advisor), Auditamo.
The rest are – Derri Wright (Secretary of Publicity), Christian Akuraku (Secretary of Organizing), or Alfreda (female leader), and Nicholas Eferebo (youth leader).
The Edo chapter has Nosa Ogieva as chairman with the head of Sunny Okomayin as Deputy Chairperson, Hillary Otsu, Secretary, Nosa Iseleomon, Deputy Chairperson, South, Ehisota Oriakhi, Deputy Chairperson, Central, and Richard Ehimigbai, Deputy Chairperson, North.
Also in the committee is-NY. Sorae Test (female leader), Benjamin Ehinlebodiaye (Treasurer), Emma Akhaba (Auditor), Daniel Okojie (Organizing Secretary), Bob-Manuel UMORU (Publicity Secretary), William UMoru (Legal Advisor), Muse Izobo (Mose Moses).
