The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has officially submitted the names of Ezenwafor Jude and Okeke Chukwudi as candidates for governor and deputy governor, each, for the upcoming Anambra State Governor Election scheduled for 8 November 2025.
This confirmation is contained in a letter dated May 7, 2025, addressed to the Chairperson of the Independent National Election Commission (Inec). The letter was officially recognized by INEC on May 12, 2025.
Signed by Acting Chairperson of the National PDP, Ambassador Umar Damagum, and National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, correspondence tells the election body on the results of the main party election in Anambra, monitored by Inec officials.

“We write to inform the Independent National Election Commission (Inec) that Ezenwafor Jude C. is a candidate for the Democratic Party Governor (PDP) for the Election of the State Governor Anambra 8 November 2025, after emerged as the main winner of the party governor,” the letter was declared.
The party also confirmed Okeke Chukwudi as deputy governor of the candidate, submitting all necessary documentation, including the EC-9, EC-9B, and EC-13B forms, as regulated by the Election Guidelines.
Re -emphasizing its commitment to the legal process, PDP urged the Election Commission to recognize the acceptance of the letter and the attached credentials, which stated, “Your cooperation in this case will be highly appreciated. Please recognize the acceptance of this letter and receive our highest award and greeting guarantees.”
