PDP shifted the Primary Anambra Governor to 8 April

The Democratic People’s Party (PDP) has shifted the primary of its governor to April 8 in the State of Anambra.

This exercise was originally scheduled for April 5.

The Chairperson of PDP in Anambra, Chidi Chidebe, confirmed the development for journalists on Saturday at AWKA.

Pratama will produce party candidates for the November 8 governor election in the state.

Chidebe said the PDP National Secretariat approved the shift to complete the necessary administrative process and ensure smooth exercise.

He described PDP as the most peaceful party in the State of Anambra.

The chairman said: “Our main election will now be held on Tuesday, April 8.

“With confusion on the other hand, it is clear that PDP is not the problem.”

He urged members to prioritize public and party interests for personal ambitions.

The big parties in Anambra – Congress of all Progressive (APC), Alliance Grand All Progressive (APGA), and the Labor Party – held their preliminary election on Saturday.

Governor Charles Soludo won the Governor of APGA’s ticket after he was returned without an opponent in the main election held at AKWA.
