According to Hon Peller, the festive period “is not only to celebrate alone, but it also serves as a profound reminder of the values that bind everything as a community, hence the need for AlmSgiving, promotion of love, unity and peace during and after Eid Ad-Fitri.
“I extend a sincere message to all Muslim faithful all over the world on the occasion of AID al-Fitri. While we celebrate, it is essential to reflect on the spiritual journey that we embarked during Ramadan. The month of fasting and prayer was a moment for self-discipline, reflection and proximity to Allah. Take the lessons learned in Ramadan in your daily life beyond this party”.
“This festive occasion is not only a day of celebration; it is a profound reminder of the values that bind us as a community and we deepen our faith. We remember those who are less fortunate. The act of giving Zakat, or AlmSgiving, is particularly significant during this period. It serves not only as a form of adoration but as a vital connection with our small brothers and sisters.
Yorubaland’s Ayedero observed “above all, we must remember that EID is a moment for unity and solidarity. It is an opportunity to reconnect with your loved ones and strengthen family ties. Among our busy lives, let us give priority to the quality time with our families. Share meals, they commit themselves to conversations heard and participate in common prayers”.
“In doing this, we feed the bonds of love and understanding that are essential to promote a support environment. This Eid, we reach the family members with whom you have not spoken for some time; a simple phone call can rekindle the relationships and disciple them with love and affection.
The former legislator said that “we carry on the values of patience, gratitude and humility that we have cultivated during this sacred month. Through these teachings, we can aspire to become better individuals, not only for ourselves but also for our communities”
