The chief Yohana Margif, the Mushere Waziri and the leader of the community in Plateau, launched alarm on the current employment of terrorists of seven villages in the Mushere community after moving the inhabitants from their ancestral houses.
Margif in a declaration released, on Friday, expressed his shock for the new development and listed the occupied villages such as Hokk, Kaban, Kadim, Nawula, Dulu, Mbor and Margif.
According to him, the seven communities, which are all in the Mushere Chiefdom of the Bokkos Local Government area (LGA), have recently been attacked and devastated by terrorists, who killed many inhabitants and displaced thousands.
He said that for over three months now, the besieged communities have been under incessant terrorist attacks and siege, forcing them to escape from their inceste houses to take refuge in the fields of internal displaced people (IDP).
Margif said that the Fulani invaders, who have taken on their villages, are shocking their curtains with their cattle shocking that they combine in their farms with impunity.
It observed that despite the statement of the state government according to which no part of the state was under the occupation of terrorists.
“I am still in a state of shock from the affirmation of the governor according to which no part of the state of the plateau is under the control of the terrorists of bandits.
“My people was forced to live in the desert in this critical period of the year in which they should be in their farms.
“The terrorists who were previously called unknown armed men are now known, since they have now established curtains in our lands on which their cattle are grazing, which is visible for everyone,” he said.
The head of the Labor Party and the government hope, which have lost its offer for the headquarters of the Governorate of the State of the Plateau in the 2023 elections, underlined that the terrorists who have built curtains and are openly transporting guns can no longer be considered unknown.
He said that reality on the ground contradicted the statement of the governor since these communities have been practically and brazen by terrorists, who have usurped their lands and cattle.
“Enough, the government has abdicated its responsibility to protect its citizens for too long.
“Now that the identity of the terrorists is known, let the relevant authorities direct the security agencies to follow them, so that our people can return to their ancestral houses.
“The government of the state of the plateau must take immediate and decisive actions to restore the peace and security of communities because people deserve protection, justice and the right to live in their ancestral homes without fear”, he underlined.
Margif suggested that the government should immediately direct safety agencies to eliminate terrorists from the seven communities affected and smoke them from their well -known sanctuaries in the surrounding hills.
He also urged the authorities interested in taking decisive measures to deal with humanitarian challenges by providing relief to the upset inhabitants who are currently refugees in the LDP fields.
