Poland were eliminated from the ongoing European Championship after losing their second group match against Austria 3-1 on Friday evening.
Their exit from the championship was confirmed after France and the Netherlands played out a goalless draw in their other Group D match.
Late goals from Christoph Baumgartner and Marko Arnautovic gave Austria a tough win over Poland.
Gernot Trauner opened the scoring for Austria before Krzysztof Piatek equalized for Poland. But defeat ultimately made them the first team to leave the competition.

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe did not feature for France in their goalless draw against the Netherlands.
The Real Madrid star suffered a broken nose during France’s win over Austria in their first group match.
He wore a plain black protective mask during match warm-ups but never appeared.
Having won their first match, this result means both sides are on four points in Group D, and will hope to finish the group stage strongly.
