Police Abuja Nab Armed Robbers After Pocket Standard, Restoring Vehicles Stolen, Electronics

In a significant victory against organized crimes, the FCT police command operations have arrested two famous armed robbery suspects after a dramatic battle of weapons, restoring stolen vehicles and electronic device cache.

SP Josephine Adeh, a spokesman for the FCT police, detailed the operation in a statement released on Sunday, highlighting the success of the dismantling of gangs responsible for many car theft incidents and vehicle theft throughout the Abuja metropolis.

“The arrest occurred after a fierce shootout, which resulted in the recovery of firearms, ammunition, and three stolen vehicles,” said Adeh, underlining the intensity of the confrontation.

The operation was opened on March 27, 2025, around 3:20 am, when officers from the Mabushi Division responded to an emergency call urged to report active robbery at the Royal Court Estate, Jahi II. “Upon arrival, the officers met with shots from the suspects. Apart from the battle of weapons, the suspects were controlled and tried to escape with a gunshot wound,” explained Adeh.

The rapid pursuit caused the arrest of Rabiu Jubril and Ibrahim Isa, both residents of Tipper Garage, Jahi.

“The suspects are currently in police custody and will be charged in court after the conclusion of the investigation,” said Adeh.
