Police operations in Bauchi have arrested seven armed robbers in the State Metropolis City.
Spokesman for the State Police Command, Ahmed Deputy, confirmed the development in a statement on Friday at Bauchi.
He said the suspects had terrorized the Bauchi Federal Polytechnic, Yelwa, Bireshi Gandu, Bireshin Fulani, and the Gwallameji area in Bauchi.
The representative added that the suspects were members of the famous robbery gang and identified 13 others, now in general.

“Acting based on intelligence, the detectives attached to the Headquarters of the Yelwa Division arrested another suspect on September 1, 2025. He was allegedly coordinated by attacks involving around 20 young people from various regions in the Metropolis City of Bauchi.
“The gang reportedly invaded the student hostel at Bauchi Federal Polytechnic, stealing valuable items such as cellphones, laptops and electricity banks.
“The initial investigation showed that the suspects had discarded each stolen cellphone for N40,000 through their accomplices,” said the spokesman.
