Police arrest foreign nationals, 76 Nigerians carrying Russian flags during #EndBadGovernance protests in Kano

Police officers in Kano have arrested 76 people caught carrying 25 Russian flags during the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests in the state.

A Nigerien national suspected of making the flag was also arrested.

The state’s Commissioner of Police, Salma Dogo, disclosed this to journalists on Tuesday in Kano.

He said: “The suspects were found carrying 25 Russian flags and their arrest was linked to a case of incitement.

“The suspects were arrested at various locations across the metropolis and have been transferred to Abuja for further investigation.”

The CP urged the state public to support the efforts of the security agencies by providing information that could lead to the arrest of those involved in the recent mass looting of public assets.

He assured the public that police and other security agencies would maintain their presence in and around the city to ensure law and order.

Dogo urged parents to monitor their children’s behavior and warned that anyone caught causing trouble would be prosecuted.
