Police operations in the state of Adamawa have arrested seven teenage members from the famous youth gang known as “Shila Boys” because of the alleged armed robbery in the state.
Spokesman for the State Police Command, Suleiman Nguroje, said the suspects were arrested while robbing residents in the Federal Housing Plantation in Bajabure, the Regional Government of Girei in the state on June 9.
He added that the arrest followed a number of difficult calls from the relevant population during the allegedly group of operations.
“The suspects attacked community members, claimed them from their valuables,” said Nguroje.

“They have armed themselves with offensive weapons and caused fear among the population.”
Those who were arrested had been identified as Ja’afar Umar (16), Bulama Abba (15), Dalha Mohammed (16), Saidu Abba (18), Safiyanu Yunusa (15), Mohammed Abubakar (15), and Abba Ibrahim (15), all competed from Jambutar in Jamba in Namba.
The spokesman added that the police found N12,350 cash, daggers, and two GSM phones from the suspects, all of which were treated as exhibitions in the ongoing investigation.
“The operators, led by DPO Viniklang and his team, quickly responded to the location of the crime and arrested the suspects,” he said.
