The police operation at Akwa Ibom has arrested two alleged troublemakers and found stolen goods in Uyo Metropolis City.
Spokesman for the State Police Command, Timfon John, revealed this in a statement on Tuesday at UYO.
John said the suspects were arrested on June 29 along Ndiya Street outside alias Road in Uyo.
He said: “On Sunday, June 29, 2025 around 11:46 am, based on credible information about the ongoing vandalism actions along Ndiya Street, off alias road, Uyo, commando operators were quickly mobilized to the scene.
“When observing the police, the suspects took their heels, but the police chased them and arrested one. Further investigations caused the arrest of the second suspect, who was arrested around 3:40 pm at Ebiere Afiat Lane, off Aka Road.

“In the interrogation, the suspects bring the police to other suspects now in general it is believed to be the recipient of stolen goods.
“Efforts are ongoing to capture the alleged recipient of stolen goods.
“The restored items include two large oxygen gas cylinders, one generator of the 3000 Fireman Sumed and one Fireman Generator 1800
” Other items include one 12.5kg gas cylinder, a complete mechanical device box, two carts, one gas cylinder 4kg, one aluminum car wheel, one metal coca-co-cola holder, one tile cutter and a solar light panel. “
