The Lagos State Police Command has arrested several officers for alleged misconduct.
This follows the emergence of a video showing agents abusing teenagers in the Ojuelegba area of the state.

The command spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed this in a post shared on his X account @AbimbolaShotayo on Tuesday.
He noted that the officers had been identified and brought before the Commissioner of Police for questioning.
Adebisi said that the officers’ statements had been obtained, while Police Commissioner Fatai Tijani had ordered their detention pending the results of further investigations.

According to him, the command has also contacted the complainant, who is expected to report to the police on Wednesday to provide an official statement and assist with the ongoing investigation.
The spokesperson assured that the command is committed to a thorough and transparent process, and emphasized that the results of the investigation will be made public in due course.
