The police force of Nigeria (NPF) repatriated a high profile fugitive, from the Qisheng, in China, after his arrest in Abuja.
Qisheng, a notorious leader of the desired band in the province of Guizhou, China, to orchestrate and guide violent organized crimes, fled his country in 2024 after a stopping mandate was issued by the public security office of the county of Zhijin.
The agents of Interpol National Central Bureau (NCB) Abuja subsequently tracked down, supervised and arrested the fugitive in Abuja on August 8, 2025.
Following his arrest, the fugitive was repatriated on August 15 in Beijing as part of the established framework of cooperation by the polymination police, coordinated by Interpol.
The manager of the public relations of the force, the DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who revealed it in a declaration issued on Sunday 24 August, said that the operation not only reaffirms the determination of the police forces of Nigeria to ensure that no fugitive finds a safe refuge within Nigeria, but also reflects the strength of international partners in facing the complex increasingly global threats.
Adejobi also mentioned the police inspector (PGI), Kayode Egbetokun, since the commitment of the NPF to continually improve international alliances, exploiting the sharing of intelligence and operational collaboration to ensure that the borders never become obstacles to justice continuously.
IGP stressed that Qisheng’s arrest and repatriation is a clear message for criminals all over the world that the Federal Republic of Nigeria will not be a hiding place for the fugitives “.
