Police rescue 2 from collapsed building in Anambra

Police in Anambra State have rescued two victims of a building collapse in the state.

The building located at Ekeoyibo Market, Amawbia in Awka South Local Government Area of ​​the state collapsed on Thursday morning.

The state police command spokesman, Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the news in a statement in Awka.

He said: “The command received a distress call about an incident at a market near the command headquarters.

“The police acted quickly and have taken the injured to an undisclosed hospital for immediate medical treatment.

“The area has been cordoned off while rescue operations are ongoing.”
