Police rescue 2 from collapsed building in Anambra

Police in Anambra State have rescued two victims of a building collapse in the state.

The building located at Ekeoyibo Market, Amawbia in Awka South Local Government Area of ​​the state collapsed on Thursday morning.

The state police command spokesman, Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the news in a statement in Awka.

He said: β€œThe command received a distress call about an incident at a market near the command headquarters.

β€œThe police acted quickly and have taken the injured to an undisclosed hospital for immediate medical treatment.

β€œThe area has been cordoned off while rescue operations are ongoing.”
