Officers from the Lagos State Police Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have rescued a 59-year-old man from a suicide attempt on the Third Mainland Bridge.
RRS revealed this through a post on his official X account, @rrsLagos767, on Friday.
The force said the man was stopped from carrying out his actions around midday on Friday.

The caption reads: “RRS cyclists on routine patrol at Third Mainland Bridge prevented a man from jumping into the lagoon.
“The man, a resident of the state’s Ilasa area, said he was overwhelmed by the challenges.”
RRS said its commander, CSP Shola Jejeloye, had counselled the man and directed that he be detained in protective custody pending the arrival of his family members.
