President Bola Ahmed Tinubu expressed sadness for the disappearance of Dr. Leon Usigbe, journalist with the newspapers of Tribune and a dear member of the body of the State House Press.

President Tinubu described Dr. Usigbe as a correspondent and professional of the veteran state house whose dedication to truth, balance and ethical journalism was worth the respect of colleagues, public officials and readers at national level.

The president, in a press declaration of his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, observed that the in -depth relationships and the calm behavior of Usigbe contributed immensely to the strengthening of the democratic government and maintaining the public well informed about the functioning of the presidency and the government in general.

The president observed: “I extended my heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues of the tribune and the entire body of the State House Press. The Almighty God can grant his eternal soul rest and comfort all those who cry this great loss”.
